Interview with Paulino Brener

LinkedIn0

Paulino Brener is one of the few people I know who has managed to successfully blend all of his passions (foreign languages, teaching, crafts, social media, and performance arts) into one, and even get paid to do so! In our interview, he discusses creative ways to harness one’s passions in foreign language learning, whether as teacher or learner.

Author: John Fotheringham

My name is John Fotheringham and I’m a languaholic. I originally hail from Seattle, but have spent most of the past decade living, learning, and working in Japan, Bangladesh, China, and Taiwan. I currently reside in Los Angeles where I am a full-time "manny" (or "bro pair" as my older brother calls me) for my 5-year-old nephew. I focus most on Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish but love all languages. And corny puns. And sushi. You can learn more about my other projects at: http://johnfotheringham.net

Commenting Rules

If you enjoyed this post or have something to add to the topic, please leave a comment below. I greatly enjoy learning more about what successes and challenges other language learners have experienced. The conversations help make this a better blog for all of us. But please make sure to follow these three simple rules to help make sure this remains a shiny happy place for discussion, not a cesspool for trolling or advertising:

  1. Use your real name (or initials if you prefer), not your business or blog name. The latter will be considered spam and deleted accordingly.
  2. Language Mastery is an asshole free zone! If you want to be rude, go comment on YouTube. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with me or other commenters, but do so in a civil fashion or your comments will be deleted and your IP address will be blocked.
  3. Try to keep comments related to the post topic. If you have a general question about language learning, feel free to contact me here.
