I have to agree, there’s no reason for it to be as difficult as some professors and ‘textbook-enthusiasts’ make it seem to be. I learned more Spanish working alongside Mexicans than I did taking University Spanish, and the classes at school seemed a lot more difficult (and focused on stuff of lesser importance).
