“I have not received the files yet.”

The download link is sent to the email you have on file with PayPal or used when checking out. Make sure to check your junk or trash folders if it doesn’t show up in your in-box after a few minutes.

And you are waiting for the guides to show up in the post, please note that they are both digital products, not physical books.


“I cannot open the Complete Package file.”

The Complete Package includes a number of files condensed into a single Zip file. It is easiest to download and unzip the file on a computer (as opposed to a tablet or smartphone).

If you have a Windows machine, I suggest using 7-Zip to unzip the file as the standard Windows unzip utility sometimes doesn’t work (creating an empty folder). Download 7-Zip for free here.


“I want to send a free copy to a friend.”

To send a free copy of the guide to a friend, I will need:

  1. Your name and email (the one you used when purchasing the guide).
  2. The name and email of your friend.
  3. Whether you want the guide sent anonymously or not.

Note that the “free copy for a friend” benefit is only available to those who purchased the Complete Package. To upgrade, see below.


“I want to upgrade to the Complete Package.”

If you purchased the guide-only version of Master Japanese or Master Mandarin, but decide later to upgrade, you can get $39 off(i.e. the difference between the Guide and Complete Package price) using the discount code found in the “Complete Package Bonuses” section of the guide:

  1. Visit the Master Japanese or Master Mandarin sales page.
  2. Click the Complete Package “Buy Now” button.
  3. Enter the discount code.
  4. Check out and download the files.


“I want to get the latest version.”

To download the latest edition of the guide and download the latest Complete Package worksheets:

  1. Go to the Master Japanese or Master Mandarin updates page.
  2. Enter the password included in the “Lifetime Updates” PDF you received when purchasing the Complete Package (lifetime updates are only available to those who purchase a Complete Package).


“I would like a refund.”

I’ve put an immense amount of work and care into my guides and am confident that most people will get a lot out of them. But if you find that the resource is not a good fit for you, just send me an email within 60 days of purchase and I will issue a full refund, no questions asked. I will of course curl up into a ball and cry uncontrollably for a few hours, but that’s my problem, not yours… You may think this is a little crazy considering that this is a digital product and there is no merchandise to return, but I am in business to help people learn and I want to ensure that my products serve you.




“I haven’t received my bonuses.”

First, please make sure that you clicked the confirmation link first. Check your email and look for a message from me titled “Language Mastery Insider: Please Confirm Subscription”. Keep in mind that the email sometimes takes a minute or two to show up. If you still don’t see it, check your spam and trash folders to make sure it didn’t end up there. Once you find the email, please click the confirmation link and you will then be taken to a private page on the site with links to download all of the free guides.


“I can’t open the guides.”

The guides are all created in PDF format. Make sure you have a PDF reader installed on your device.


“I want to unsubscribe.”

You can easily unsubscribe from the Language Mastery Insider anytime but clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom left of any emails you receive from me.

“What is the best way to reach you?”

The best way to contact me is via email on the contact page.


“I emailed you and haven’t heard back.”

Please note that I only check email on weekdays at 11 am and 4 pm PST, but I travel frequently and sometimes won’t be able to get back to you for a few days. If you emailed me about advertising on Language Mastery, please note that I do not allow any third party advertising on my site, podcast, etc. If you emailed about writing an article for the site, please understand that I am focusing on developing my own body of work and am no longer accepting guest posts.
